Why ?
One year ago, I received a Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS sport watch as a christmas gift. As I was already a Runkeeper user, I tried to sync the activities I had recorded on my Forerunner with the Runkepper "Garmin import" feature and felt disapointed when I got this error message : "UnsupportedDataTypeException: Your device does not support reading of the type: FitnessHistory" :( So, i had to export/convert to TCX/GPX format before importing converted files in Runkeeper... Somewhat tedious, don't you think ?

So what ?
It appears that Forerunner 110 (and other Garmin devices such as Forerunner 210, Forerunner 610, Forerunner 910 XT, Forerunner 310 XT, FR60, Edge 500, Edge 800...) unlike some other devices doesn't store activities as TCX or GPX files, but in FIT file format... and Runkeeper Garmin import feature doen't handle FIT files :( But Runkeeper also developed something great : the Health Graph API which allow applications to interact with Runkeeper's users data !

Then a few coding days later...
Here is FIT2app ! With this app, you will be able to :
  - Connect to your Runkeeper account
  - Connect to your FIT based Garmin GPS watch and read recorded activities
  - No more GPX/TCX conversion/export/import operation needed...
  - Upload and convert theses activities into Runkeeper activities in a 3-clicks operation :)

It's up to you now...
Connect your Runkeeper account, your Garmin device and give a try ! Application is still under development, so you it should work... or not. You might encounter untested bugs. In this case, you can send your feedback via email. Please, try to give as many details as possible :
  - What OS / browser / Garmin device to you use ?
  - What error / bug did you see (add page alerts and/or screenshots) ?
  - Maybe you can send FIT file you will find on your Garmin device with a file browser

2012-05-28 : downtime :-(
- FIT2app had a partial downtime between May 28th 18:00 PM GMT and May 29th 10:00 AM GMT. During this downtime FIT2app was up but a storage failure prenvented to upload some activities to Runkeeper. Sorry for inconvenience.
2012-04-30 : version 1.0
- New : uploading activity, Garmin device (auto or manual) pause settings are now taken in account
- New : "GPS holes" (i.e. points recorded by Garmin device but without GPS data) are now "filled" (by an interpolation method)
- Optimize : the difference margin on distance / duration / speed between activity data from Garmin device and uploaded activity on Runkeeper has been reduced
- New : FIT2app now detects if you have more than 1 Garmin device connected to your computer and let you choose which to use to upload
- Fix : in some cases, USB plugged phones or plugged SD-Cards appeared as Garmin devices. This does not occur anymore
- Fix : with Firefox on Windows / Mac OS X, a bug prevendted from uploading multiple activities (once 1st activity had been uploaded, only this appeared when clicking on next ones). This does not occur anymore
- Optimize : activities list sorting has been optimized
- Optimize : better activities detection for some FR-60 and Forerunner 310XT models
- New : distance is automatically retreived for activities without GPS data
- New : added an "Equipment type" input field in upload window (mainly for indoor activities)
- New : total calories are now imported from Garmin device for activities without GPS data
- New : average heart rate is now imported from Garmin device for activities without GPS data
- Optimzed FIT2app speed by reducing data exchanged data volume and using more compression
- New : added alpha support for TCX devices...

- FIT2app won't use any data about users for any purpose other than to display that data back on these pages. This data includes only the minimal amount obtained from the Health Graph, such as the user's profile URL, distance preference, and the basic information about all a user's activities.
- FIT2app will never give or sell users' information.
- FIT2app don't send email to users.
- FIT2app is being provided without any guarantees. We do our best to connect to the Health Graph API, retrieve your data, and display it to you; there will undoubtedly be times when a wrench in the works makes some part of that go awry, but we'll do our best to fix it when it does.
- FIT2app site uses cookies to tie your Health Graph authentication to your visit. You can turn off the use of cookies in your browser, but you can expect that doing so will severely compromise your ability to use the functionality of this site.
